Lovely Hand-drawn Surveyor's Map #1: 31 Acres, Lenoir County, NC, 1878 stencil painted playing cards Definitely it is Wabanaki (NortheastI always have an eye out for hand drawn maps, but it is a rare and happy moment to find one with watercolor embellishment, and what a charmer, with lovely blue and purple star, excellent inked handwriting, and little hand pointing to a pine stump, too! (And a White Oak marking another corner.) As detailed at one end, it's a surveyors map, done by surveyor William A. Jones for Andrew J. Waller in 1878, showing a 31 acre plot on the south side of South
