I have not attempted to polish it but it would probably shine up some if desired

Part of what I think makes it great is its utter impracticality--this thing weighs about 10 pounds

Six layers of wood on most of it

A bit of dust under the glass

11 1/8" d and in excellent antique condition

I take the scene as an open air market or fair, with all the figures moving along the center aisle drawn in profile, almost all facing in one direction, while all the figures hosting booths (none looking super happy about it) are drawn facing front as if just hoping some of these walkers will stop to visit them, but feeling pretty lonely
