The snuff box has some wear commensurate with age, to include a very fine split to the silver lid near the rear hinge (please see photographs). The top of the box is monogrammed 'EJB' with surrounding engraved fruits and foliage. The underside of the box boasts an engraved leaf design. The box opens to reveal a bright silver gilt
