These can be very difficult to distinguish from one another so be careful not to assume your card is from the main set, when it might be a reprint
While you wont always control the creature (since it is unlikely that youre always going to be the Monarch), the fact that the creature cant attack you makes this a lot less of a problem
They can also be used in conjunction with cards like "Lotus Petal" or "Mox Opal" to enable explosive starts
Sure, giving flying to Green can feel weird and thus make this powerful, but it was always the weakest of the first five from way back when they were introduced since death triggers with +1/+1 counters, while useful, aren't exactly game breaking
